2020年5月28日,奥的斯电梯(韩国)公司(副总裁及执行董事是IS Cho;下称“奥的斯电梯”)宣布与韩国性别平等与家庭部(也称韩国女性家族部)签订了“包容性成长与性别平等”的自愿协议。奥的斯电梯是韩国国内第一家签订该协议的建筑类企业。
奥的斯电梯与韩国性别平等与家庭部是基于“企业文化及领导层及其有利于推动性别平等,还会增进企业竞争力和促进国家经济发展”这样共同的理念签订该协议的。
奥的斯电梯的目标是在现有的基础上,增加女性企业和部门管理人员的比例,在2022年把该比例提高5%。1)目前奥的斯全球的女性企业管理人员超过30%,包括总裁兼CEO朱蒂(Judy Marks);2)为确保女性及其才能可以得到充分的发挥,公司计划策略性地为女性增加工程师、销售及维护人员等岗位。
不仅如此,奥的斯致力于创造一个对家庭友好的环境,通过鼓励女性的伴侣休育儿假期和引入机制以适应不同类型的工作,如灵活工作时间制度,以防女性事业出现断层。
Otis signs ‘Partnership for Inclusive Growth and Gender Equality’ in South Korea
South Korea, May 28th, 2020 --- Otis Elevator Korea (VP and Managing Director IS Cho; “Otis” hereinafter) announced today it has signed a voluntary agreement for ‘Partnership for Inclusive Growth and Gender Equality’ with the South Korean Ministry of Gender Equality and Family. Otis becomes the first in the domestic construction industry to sign this agreement in Korea.
Otis and the ministry signed the agreement based on their shared belief that organizational culture and leadership drive gender equality significantly and contribute towards improving corporate competitiveness and the national economy.
Otis Korea aims to increase the percentage of female executives and department leaders 5% from the current rate by 2022.1) More than 30 percent of the company’s global executive leadership are women, including its President and CEO Judy Marks.2) To ensure access to women and their talents in a more balanced manner, the company plans to strategically hire more women in jobs such as engineering, sales and maintenance.
Furthermore, Otis is dedicated to creating a family-friendly environment to prevent a gap in women’s careers, by encouraging partners to take their childcare leave and introducing programs that support different types of work, such as flexible work hours.
