ELEVATOR CAR CRUSHES WORKER IN CENTRAL ATHENS
A man said to be performing work on an elevator in the Pangrati neighborhood of central Athens, Greece, died as a result of the elevator falling on and crushing him on May 25, ecathemerini.com reports. Firefighters retrieved the body of the man, thought to be in his early 30s, from the bottom of the shaft. He was pronounced dead at a local hospital. It is not clear what led to the incident.
