LIFT WORKER KILLED IN ELEVATOR MISHAP IN INDIA
A 40-year-old elevator company worker was killed in a lift mishap in the Mulund East area of Mumbai, India, on February 6, The Times of India reports. The man had been called to an apartment complex to repair its lift, which residents said was not functioning properly. He was on the third floor performing repairs when someone on the 13th floor pressed the call button, and the elevator crushed him. Police said he died on the scene.
