NEW ConVEYANCE REGULATIONS FOR COLORADO
The National Elevator Industry, Inc. announced in January that new conveyance regulations recently became effective in Colorado. There are three components that include major changes for building managers and owners: testing and inspection timing requirements; a phone testing requirement; and clarification of who may have access to the elevator hoistway, pit and top of car. These are detailed in sections 2-3-2, 2-3-3 and 4-1 of the Colorado Department of Labor and Employment Division of Oil and Public Safety Conveyance Regulations.
