绿房子沉浸在一片氤氲的绿色之中
这座私家别墅由著名的匈牙利裔建筑师邬达克设计，在建成之初屋内配置了各种时髦设备：弹簧地板、进口家具、地暖，以及奥的斯电梯——这栋“豪宅”是上海较早引入电梯的私宅。“城市游轮”造型的建筑整体外观皆为绿色，因此被老上海人亲切地称为“绿房子”。
充满“装饰艺术”(Art Deco) 风格的内部装修
如今，走进“绿房子”，一部由奥的斯打造的4层4站的古董电梯仍在正常运行，除更换过灯具以外，其他样式仍保留原版。不同于方方正正的现代电梯形状，ta的轿厢呈优雅的荷叶状，轿门厅门为弧形连接，这在电梯史上都是独特而罕见的。电梯面积仅半个平方米左右，一次限乘3人；电梯内还配有镜子，可供乘坐者利用短暂时间整理衣冠，每个细节都隐藏着设计者的心思。

Green House Records Architectural Miracles and History in Shanghai
In the land-scare Jingan District, a green house lied at No.333 on the Tongren Road, giving a soft and mild shine of history. Called as the first house in the Far East, it is a formal residence of Wu Tongwen, a Shanghai paint tycoon.
Bathed in a gentle and moist green, the Green House was designed by the famous Hungarian architect Laszlo Hudec, with fashionable equipment at that time when it was first completed, such as spring floor, imported furniture, floor heating device and an Otis elevator, making it one of the first houses with a VT equipment in Shanghai. As the architectural appearance is like a cruise on the city land, local people in Shanghai give it an amiable name of the Green House.
