近日，美国纽约帝国摩天大厦（Empire State Building）的电梯设备正在换上最新的电梯科技。在奥的斯电梯公司的合作中，大厦的电梯换上了定制的玻璃轿厢，让慕名而来的乘客在前往刚装修完的第102层观景台时体验不一样的感受。作为该建筑的原始电梯供应商，奥的斯电梯公司开展的这次玻璃轿厢安装工程基本称得上是其成立166年来最大最复杂的电梯设备现代化工程。玻璃电梯是奥的斯Gen2®系列产品，不同于传统的缆绳，该设备采用了钢筋加强型平皮带，在第86层和102层之间穿梭。电梯的井道壁上为乘客展示着灯光秀投影，配上同步的音轨。电梯到达顶层后，玻璃井道壁与玻璃墙内观察台互为补充，为乘客提供了全市360度的全景景色。2011年，奥的斯电梯获得了为垂直运输系统进行现代化更新的合同，并安装了其ReGen®再生变频器和CompassPlus®智能调度技术。另外，奥的斯的户外专家们还提供了24小时全天候现场服务，以确保该建筑每年运载量达到1000万人的电梯及自动扶梯设备能够安全顺利的运行。
OTIS MODERNIZES EMPIRE STATE ELEVATORS, ADDS GLASS CAR
NYC’s Empire State Building was recently on the receiving end of some of the latest elevator technology when Otis completed installation of a custom glass elevator to carry visitors to the iconic building’s newly renovated 102nd-floor observatory. The installation essentially completed one of the largest and most complex modernization projects Otis, the building’s original elevator supplier, has undertaken in its 166-year history. The glass elevator is an Otis Gen2® unit using steel-reinforced flat belts instead of conventional ropes. It travels from the 86th to the 102nd floor, treating passengers to a light show projected onto the hoistway wall, along with a curated soundtrack. The top landing includes glass hoistway walls that complement the glassed-in observatory, which offers 360° views of the city. In 2011, Otis won a contract to modernize the vertical-transportation system. Otis installed its ReGen® regenerative drives and CompassPlus® intelligent dispatching technology. In addition, Otis field professionals are onsite 24/7 to support the safe, smooth operation of the building’s elevators and escalators, which transport about 10 million people per year.
